The 5512 debuted in 1959 with a 40mm case, a 1530 movement that worked to COSC spec, and, for the first time, crown guards, all things we take for granted some 65 years later. The example we have here is an early feet-first example with a non-serif dial, spot on for the serial range. The tritium dial and hands are in great condition, with no corrosion or dial rot. 

Under 20,000 5512s were produced between 1959 and 1979: roughly one for every eight 5513s. Amazing watches.
