In 1980, Rolex released reference 16750, equipped with the upgraded calibre 3075, which introduced a quickset date function. A slightly thicker case was used to accommodate the new movement, which also offered improved water resistance. Early 16750 models featured matte dials like this one—similar to those on the 1675—before being replaced by gloss dials in 1984.
The present example is in fantastic condition. The dial is flawless, and the now-inactive tritium lume on the markers and hands has developed an even, creamy patina.
