A Rolex “Pepsi GMT” is easily one of the most recognisable models in the watch world—although it means very different things to different audiences. From those who have faced their first setback asking for a modern BLRO at a Rolex AD, to seasoned watch nerds like the folks here at Falco, it’s hard not to love them.
Although not the first GMT-Master, the reference 1675 is a personal favourite (Tommy) of all the GMTs produced by Rolex. The slim case, the shades of colour, and the incredible array of character that different examples show over its 20+ year production run give almost every 1675 a unique individuality. The present example features the most well-known matte production dial: the Mk1, often nicknamed the “Long E,” easily recognised by the extended middle bar in the letter E of “ROLEX.”
