We have a bit of a soft spot for tapestry dials here at Falco: they were among the last five-digit Datejusts that felt playful and different. It’s amazing how much the vertical ridges transform the appearance; the way the dial catches the light is truly unique.

The watch was originally purchased in the USA by a Belgian international on holiday, who had Rolex ship the watch back to his local AD for collection a few months later. Since then, it has never made it onto anyone’s wrist: the clasp and caseback stickers are still in place. The watch comes complete with its original inner and outer boxes, wallet, translation papers, booklets, tags, purchase receipts, guarantee papers, and even the original Rolex shipping paperwork. A wonderful time capsule from the 1990s.
