When it comes to “grail” vintage Rolex models, the Rolex Daytona 6263 is perhaps at the top of many people’s lists (certainly here at Falco). Many dial variations were fitted to the 6263, including two versions of the exotic “Paul Newman” dial. Fast forward to today, the most recognisable by far is the “Big Red” dial, such as the one found here. The silver “Panda” dial features three black registers and the large red “Daytona” text above the 6 o’clock subdial. The screw-down pushers and Bakelite bezel make the watch wear larger than its 37 mm size and more masculine than its pump-pusher predecessors.
A perfect example now spending its time amongst a formidable collection.
