The Omega Constellation range underwent a revamp in the 1960s with the help of Gérald Genta. This era introduced the now well-known “Pie Pan” dial, where the dial slopes downward toward the edge, creating its distinctive faceted effect. The caseback features the Geneva Observatory, surrounded by eight stars representing Omega’s eight chronometer competition victories.

The solid 18k gold example we have here, reference 168.010, dates to 1966 and features a beautiful gold sunburst dial with onyx inlay baton markers and a matching champagne date wheel.
