IWC INGENIEUR 666A

THE ESSENTIALS

MAKE: IWC
MODEL: 666A
YEAR: 1963
CASE DIAMETER: 36.5MM
CASE MATERIAL: STAINLESS STEEL
BRACELET MATERIAL: STAINLESS STEEL
MOVEMENT: AUTOMATIC

The IWC ref. 666A here came from the first-generation Ingenieurs, released alongside the 666AD, which featured a date window, and powered by the calibre 852—the first automatic and anti-magnetic movement from IWC. Notably, it is also one of the first IWCs to carry the famous “Arrow Logo,” reminiscent of the Swiss thunderbolt icon warning of electrical current.

Over six decades on, the watch remains in excellent condition, with a flawless dial, hands, and a sharply defined case. The 36.5mm case—forward-thinking for its time—wears superbly on the wrist.
