From 1980 through to the early 2000s, CWC produced the Royal Navy Diver, which effectively replaced the Rolex Milsub. In 1987, CWC was commissioned to produce a different specification dive watch specifically for the Special Boat Service (SBS). 

This particular example dates to 2001, a year in which only around 500 pieces were issued. It was issued in 2005 while serving in Iraq as part of 28 Royal Engineers. He later transferred to 24 Commando Regiment, where he was involved in Special Operations.
