The Royal Oak ref.25860ST stayed true to its heritage in a 39 mm integrated bracelet case with the help of the ultra-thin cal. 2385 automatic chronograph movement (based on the Frédéric Piguet 1185). The dial features a classic three-register design, with a date window at 4 o’clock. The watch was famously worn and adored by Garry Kasparov, the chess grandmaster, hence gaining its nickname.
The present example was one of the first Kasparovs to leave the Audemars Piguet factory and features a MK1 “Petite Tapisserie” dial with tritium lume, alongside the early clasp with Gay Frères stamping. This is easily one of the most visually striking watches we have had in recent weeks, and one of the best Kasparovs that's ever appeared on the market, absolutely stunning.
