The Edward Piguet collection was launched by Audemars Piguet in the 1990s alongside the Jules Audemars collection: both named after the brand’s co-founders. The line largely featured rectangular watches, with a focus on elegant design, complications, and high levels of finishing, perhaps as a way to introduce greater variety to the brand amid the growing dominance of the Royal Oak.
The reference 25682BA shown here is easily one of the coolest watches we’ve had in recent months. The 27×45 mm case wears beautifully on the wrist. The 18k yellow gold case, perpetual calendar display, Breguet numerals, and blued steel hands are a winning formula for a highly collectible vintage watch. Yet, these Edward Piguet complications remain overlooked despite their wonderful design and impressive watchmaking.
