Despite its relatively short production run, many dial variations were fitted to the Heuer Carrera 2447. The present example, ref. 2447SN, features one of the rarest and most desirable versions: the "panda" dial, with a silver-white dial and black subdials. Often regarded as the holy grail of Carrera 2447s, there is something about the contrasting colours and perfectly symmetrical "noir"(N) subdials on the "standard"(S, which is silver/white in Heuer terms) dial that feels effortlessly balanced and visually captivating.
